Imperium of Dragons 華龍帝國
Divine monarchy · Earth, Osram, Venus, Mars
First in everything. The Ministry has the figures.
Founded on October 1, 2069, on the ashes of Communist China, and ruled from the Ruby Throne in Chengdu. It leads the world in GDP and military strength, runs the most effective police force on Earth, and treats the ownership of people as a mark of good standing.
“Loyalty above life, responsibilities before rights.”

18+ This file covers a villain faction. Sexual servitude, ritualized dominance and state control of women’s bodies are written into its law and its faith, and the file describes them plainly. All of it is fiction.
// 01 — Doctrine
How the Imperium wins
The Imperium wins by spending what it does not count as people. Cultivated infantry go in first and die in numbers the planners have already written down. Natural-born crossbowmen cover them. Behind both come the Conjurers, the nuclear-shelled Draconic Engines, and a Dragonfort that lands, turns into a fortress and starts holding court.
At home it sells order. Every major corporation is state-owned, the streets are the safest on Earth, and citizenship comes easily to anyone with certified Chinese heritage. The price is a hierarchy the state religion calls natural: the strong lead, the rest serve, and slavery is a symbol of wealth.
- Numbers nobody else can afford. Some 350 million Blood Swallows, grown and not conscripted. No citizen family buries one.
- Psionics built into the army. Imperial scholars mapped the Principium’s acupoints exhaustively and wrote them into Conjurer training and military doctrine.
- The Dragonfort. Conquest and government in one hull.
- The heaviest gun on the ground. The Draconic Engine’s Havok-Class launcher out-shoots anything the Alliance fields.
- Order at home. First in GDP, state-owned from top to bottom, and policed better than anywhere on Earth.
- Its own artillery. Draconic Engines are notorious for friendly fire, and they poison the ground they fight on.
- Twenty to forty minutes. That is how long the Phoenix Roost Matrix takes to fire, and it leaves the commander’s best Supplicant unconscious.
- Fifteen-year casters. A Conjurer takes fifteen to twenty years to train. Four in ten wash out.
- Two populations it keeps apart. Blood Swallows and Peons may never share a room. Commanders have been executed over it.
- The missing scientist. The mind behind its Radi-Human programs left Imperial service, and took her later work with her.
- No friends. Unwelcoming to foreigners and hostile to most of its neighbours.
// 02 — Order of Battle
What they field
Cultivated bodies at the bottom, nobility at the top. Every rung of the ladder is deliberate. Tiers follow the Codex class lines.

Blood Swallows in formation
// Unit Record 01 · Imperium of Dragons
Blood Swallow 血燕
Mass-produced female Radi-Humans: the Imperium’s answer to waging war without spending citizens.
- Relentless close assault: several strikes a second, never still
- Reflexes and stamina above a baseline human’s
- Being replaced
- Anything that makes them stop moving
- Armor of any weight
- Surviving. Attrition is written into the plan
The official line is compassionate: synthetic warriors spare real families from sacrifice. No mother weeps for a Blood Swallow. They leave the cultivation facilities taught that they are the Imperium’s honored daughters, and most die still believing it.
The program grew out of research taken when Dr. Meiya Ji left Imperial service. Her data leaned toward female cultivation, so women are cheaper to grow. The Imperium presents this as a design choice.
The virgin weapon
A Radi-Human stops aging until biological age twenty or the loss of virginity, whichever comes first. So Blood Swallows are kept virgin for as long as they serve, and physical intimacy of any kind is forbidden. The reason is tactical: it buys months of peak performance, sometimes a full year. The effect is isolation. Some form deep bonds anyway. These are tolerated and never acknowledged.
Retirement
By the third year normal aging has begun and combat efficiency drops. The beautiful ones receive an “honorable civilian transition” into government-affiliated brothels at below-market contract prices. The framing is continued service: you served with your blade, now serve with your body.
Those with neither combat value nor looks simply stop appearing in the records. No discharge, no pension, no acknowledgment.
Forever forsaken
With no psionic capacity, a Blood Swallow can never become a Supplicant, which is the main road to advancement for Imperial women. Citizens who learn all this rarely dwell on it. The alternative seems obviously worse.

Rust Crow — Kinetic Crossbow
// Unit Record 02 · Imperium of Dragons
Rust Crow 鏽鴉
The baseline ranged infantry: natural-born men with Kinetic Crossbows, covering the Swallows as they go in.
- Punching through modern armor at medium range
- Accuracy under duress
- Holding their manners, and their nerve
- Rapid engagements. The crossbow reloads slowly
- Staggering mortality
- Life after the service
Before Blood Swallows existed, the Rust Crow was the Imperial soldier. Training is long-distance running, accuracy under duress, and mental reconditioning to take stress without breaking. A Rust Crow must keep respectable manners toward every Imperial citizen and release his impulses only in private.
The real draw
Sergeants and above earn the privilege of “evaluating” retiring Blood Swallows before brothel placement. For many recruits this, more than the housing, is the reason to sign. It keeps enlistment steady in spite of the death rate.
The six percent
About 6% of Rust Crows are women. They receive maternity allowances and often find husbands through the service. They are arguably the least exploited people in the Imperial military.
Retirement
Veterans who live to retire get benefits. Some go into security or live on savings. Many struggle: years of suppression leave them spending recklessly on brothels and drugs. The Imperium runs a Civilian Life Reintegration Program for those wise enough to take it. Those few get something like a good ending.

Peon
// Unit Record 03 · Imperium of Dragons
Peon 苦役兵
Male Radi-Humans from the Imperium’s oldest synthetic line. They do every job too hard for a citizen.
- Labour at industrial scale
- Cheap, reliable production
- Combat. They are built not to manage it
- The flaw every generation shares
- Any room with a Blood Swallow in it
Every generation carries the same defect: an intense sexual fixation. Stalking, stolen undergarments, unwanted contact. The Imperium classifies it as a manufacturing fault, keeps Peons away from the populace, and schedules a mandatory break every eleven hours under the name “urge prevention protocols.” Earlier generations were larger and were responsible for documented assaults. Later ones were built smaller.
Blood Swallows and Peons are never permitted in the same space. A commander who allows it faces anything from a heavy fine to execution. The stated reason is worker safety.
The unstated reason: two exploited Radi-Human populations, each capable of freeing the other.
The suppressed study, 2288
An internal study found something the Imperium has never acknowledged. When a woman a Peon finds attractive lets him see and suckle her breasts for fifteen minutes, his agitation stops. If she then holds him for eight minutes, the predatory behaviour does not return. Most Peons weep through it. Some cry “Mama.”
Afterward the Peon shows normal cognition and emotional control. He also loses every trace of conditioned submission, and gains a fierce protectiveness toward the woman and a desire to be free.
The findings were classified. The authors no longer appear in Imperial records.

Lord Conjurer
// Unit Record 04 · Imperium of Dragons
Conjurer 咒靈師
The psionic elite: children taken for their potential and trained for fifteen years into weapons.
- Destructive spellcasting at battlefield scale
- Spells amplified through their Supplicants
- A few also master the Nucleus Sword
- Replacement. The next one is fifteen years away
- Eclipse can fragment a mind that is not ready
- Peak output depends on someone else’s body
The Imperium finds psionic aptitude early. The child goes to a secretive academy, and the family receives a substantial payment and a rise in status. It is framed as an honour. Parents who refuse meet social pressure and quiet professional consequences. The children rarely see their birth families again.
Celibacy is enforced all through training; the academies teach that sexual energy diverts Aether from cultivation. The rule ends at Lord Conjurer rank, which carries the right to keep up to three Supplicants. After decades of denial that promise shapes behaviour. The system reinforces itself.
Those who fail
Washouts become minor bureaucrats or instructors: useful, and permanently marked as insufficient.
The female path
Women can become Conjurers through the academies, and many do. There is also a faster road: serving an established Lord Conjurer as his Supplicant. Whether that is advancement or exploitation depends on who is telling the story.

Supplicant channelling
// Unit Record 05 · Imperium of Dragons
Supplicant 靈妾
“Psionic concubine.” A gifted person bound by contract to a Lord Conjurer: his amplifier in battle, and his concubine at home.
- Extending and strengthening her master’s spells
- Serving as a second focal point for complex workings
- Her own growth. Years of service can widen capacity and wake new affinities
- Aether depletion. Days of weakness after heavy channelling
- Eclipse run through the body can burn or scar
- Being unarmored at the moment it matters most
In combat and in ritual a Supplicant is a living battery: she pours her own Aether into her master’s spell. The role also carries sexual obligations to him, and that is where its pull lies. Repeated intimate exposure to a powerful psion’s essence can expand a woman’s capacity and awaken latent affinities, which makes this one of the fastest roads upward the Imperium offers her. Many of its strongest female Conjurers began here, and many defend it as the path that made them strong.
Families also sell daughters into contracts for payment or for standing. It is most common among minor noble houses that want a tie to an established lineage.
The Unarmored Conduit
Exposed skin conducts Aether better than covered skin. A Supplicant channelling nude at full capacity lifts her master’s spell by 666 to 699 percent over what she manages clothed. She cannot be armored, cannot easily retreat, and draws fire the moment she is seen. Casualties run far higher than in standard operations.
The Ministry permits it. The contracts permit it. Whether the women would choose it, given real alternatives, is a question the Imperium prefers not to ask.
One to use, one to recover
Most Lords keep two or three. A single Supplicant is a risk: if she is ill or drained, the amplification is gone. Four or more breed resentment and exhaust even a disciplined Conjurer. The Ministry recommends two.
Triad Confluence
The formal cultivation rite takes one Lord Conjurer and two or three Supplicants, each in a position set by rank.
Sweat-Jade (汗玉) is the foundation position for juniors: physical work and a slow, safe transfer. Lotus-Sword (蓮劍) is the primary position: oral service, the largest transfer, and a risk of overflow for the inexperienced. Sky-Rift (天裂) is the crown position, held by the senior Supplicant or an intended wife. The exchange runs both ways, she decides how long the rite lasts, and being given the position signals romantic consideration.
What the contract protects
A Supplicant is legally part of her master’s household and holds noble status while she serves. She cannot be transferred without Ministry approval. Abuse beyond “reasonable discipline” ends the contract, and a Lord whose Supplicant dies or kills herself is investigated at once. The reasoning is practical. Supplicants are investments, and the Imperium protects its assets.
How others see it
The Alliance calls it slavery with extra steps. Directorate analysts admire how well it develops talent and criticize everything else. The Covenant condemns it, and quietly studies the transfer mechanism.
Inside the Imperium a Supplicant ranks above a servant and below a wife. Those who rise rarely talk about those years. Those who do call them degrading and transformative in the same breath.
Draconic Engine
// Unit Record 06 · Imperium of Dragons
Draconic Engine 龍核車
The Imperium’s main battle tank, built around the most powerful tank gun in the known world.
- Levelling an enemy formation in one shot
- Out-gunning anything the Alliance puts on tracks
- Splash damage. Friendly fire and collateral destruction are routine
- Its emissions poison wherever it deploys
Environmentally minded powers treat the Draconic Engine as the symbol of the Imperium’s disregard for people, and for the planets it holds.

Dragonfort — the dragon prow
// Unit Record 07 · Imperium of Dragons
Dragonfort 龍堡艦
Less a warship than a mobile seat of Imperial authority. It conquers a territory and starts governing it the same day.
- Shattering fleets
- Landing and becoming a fortress within hours
- Bringing its own courts, garrison and bureaucracy
- The Matrix takes twenty to forty minutes to fire
- It needs absolute trust between two people
- It costs the commander his best Supplicant for hours afterward
When a Dragonfort lands, struts extend, hull sections fold out into walls and gates, and the dragon prow becomes a ceremonial entrance. Within hours it has judgment halls, detention blocks, barracks and a link to Imperial command. A landed Dragonfort declares sovereignty over everything inside weapon range.

Phoenix Roost Matrix
The ship’s ultimate weapon comes out of the oldest Imperial cultivation texts. The Lord Conjurer and his most trusted Supplicant enter the Matrix Chamber at the ship’s core, undress, and are wired to the psionic arrays through suction cups on their acupoints. Then they make love. He must bring her to climax without reaching his own.
Her climax fires the Matrix: a psionic storm that pours from the dragon’s open maw, destroys everything around the ship and spares those aboard. Survivors describe it as the dragon breathing. Afterward she sleeps for hours. He may dress and resume command at once. Imperial tacticians treat it as a last resort.
Life aboard
A Dragonfort is Imperial society in miniature. Peons and Blood Swallows sleep in windowless lower-deck barracks: communal racks, recycled air, nutrition paste. Rust Crows and staff get private bunks and a mess hall. Conjurers get private chambers with meditation space.
The Lord Conjurer commands from the Celestial Quarters at the ship’s heart: audience chambers, gardens under sun-lamps, and cultivation facilities of his own.
Chamber of Ascending Dragons
昇龍閣. A protected section of every Dragonfort is given over to Triad Confluence: temperature-controlled rooms, medical monitoring and recovery suites, where Conjurers and Supplicants keep their combat readiness on long deployments. Access is strictly by rank.

Where the Dragon reigns
Dominant at home and contested everywhere else. The Imperium is stronger than any two of its rivals, and weaker than all three.
“Taiwan Province has been restored to its rightful place within the Imperium. Minor insurgent elements in the eastern and southern regions persist in delusion. These dissidents will be corrected in time. The Dragon is patient.”
Holdings as listed by the Ministry of Celestial Harmony, checked against the Atomic Accord where the Accord has data.
- Peons 52%
- Natural-born citizens 37%
- Blood Swallows 10%
- Other cultivated lines 1%
Atomic Accord census, 2295: about 3.65 billion, of whom 1.35 billion are natural-born. The Ministry’s own figure is 17.5 billion, which appears to count every unit cultivated since the 22nd century.
// 05 — Strategic Assets
What is worth taking
In the Ministry’s words, the accumulated wisdom of the world’s oldest continuous civilization.
Brocade Celestial Palace, Chengdu. Any claimant must resonate with it psionically. The Throne chooses. Pretenders fail.
Capital ships of 1.8 to 3 km, each a mobile seat of Imperial authority carrying the Phoenix Roost Matrix.
Registers Supplicant contracts, inspects households, sets cultivation standards across every territory, and publishes the Citizens’ Guide.
Taoyuan, Taiwan. It offers 690% more bank usage per person than any other public Chakra in the Inner Sol. The price is every user’s data, harvested and kept forever. Millions accept.
The largest synthetic-human cultivation infrastructure in existence. Blood Swallows and Peons at industrial scale.
At least three activated pairs. Nobody can build new ones, so every working pair is a strategic road.

“We do not hate them. We simply wait for reality to educate them.” — Citizens’ Guide, 2295
// 07 — Faith
The state god
The Crimson Dragon is state religion. Every citizen knows his name. Every soldier carries his mark.

Ao Qin the Crimson Dragon
// Deity Record 01 · The Crimson Dragon
Ao Qin 赤龍敖欽
Lord of every fire in the Seven Realms: flame, blood heat, battlefield rage, courage and lust. He sits above every other figure in the Imperial divine hierarchy.
Other traditions teach restraint of these forces. The Imperium teaches that honest desire, pursued without apology, is strength. A man who wants women, wealth and power and goes after them openly serves the Dragon honestly. A man who performs modesty while wanting the same dishonors him.
“Yang rises while Yin kneels. Absolute as nature wills.”陽起陰降。天之本相。— Tenet of Ao Qin
His four domains
Conquest. War fought from strength honors Ao Qin. War fought from fear does not, and slaughter that serves no strategic end is waste.
Domination. Male authority over woman, household, battlefield and bed is sacred when it produces results. A lord who cannot justify his dominance through demonstrated fire has none.
Desire. Wanting openly is honest service. Shame is weakness.
Creation. Smiths, engineers, military architects, chefs: every act of transforming raw material through controlled heat carries his blessing. To forge is to worship.
On women
The doctrine does not pretend women are equal to men. Fire rises, water flows downward, and both are necessary. In practice this has shaped the law. When a woman commits a crime that would see a man executed, she rarely receives the same sentence. If she is assessed as genetically viable, on health, beauty and reproductive potential, she is offered a choice: death, or life in binding sexual servitude to someone who can make use of her. The overwhelming majority choose to live.
The result is a quiet hierarchy in which beauty works as legal protection. A plain woman and a beautiful one, convicted of the same crime, can meet very different ends. The Ministry calls this genetic optimization. Most outside observers call it an abomination.
On Buddha
Detachment is extinction. Equality is delusion. The fire in every soul demands hierarchy, because some flames burn hotter than others. So the Imperium forbids Buddha worship throughout its territories: shrines are demolished, texts confiscated, practitioners re-educated or exiled. The Crimson Dragon tolerates many faiths beneath his shadow, but not the one that teaches his fire should be humbled.
“The Dragon does not negotiate with its prey. It does not apologize for its fire. It simply is, and the world arranges itself accordingly.”— Teachings of Ao Qin, as interpreted by the Ministry of Celestial Harmony
